MacKenzie Tavern is located at 40860 Van Dyke Sterling Heights, MI 48313. This is the type of bar you can go into with just a group of your friends and be the only people there. It is a very small bar, I believe it can only hold up to forty or fifty people and that's pushing it. This bar is small but mighty. It is a pub style bar, this is a great place to go to and not worry about how nice you look. When you go here it is not a place to go and meet someone. It is a place to go with your friends or family and just relax while having some drinks. The atmosphere is very chill and laid back it is fun to go and have a few beers and get some bar food. The food they serve there is very good, they have burgers, chicken, salads and more. They serve food till about eleven at night. If you are hungry after a night of drinking, there is a big boy right next door that is open twenty four hours. As for the inside look MacKenzie Tavern has no windows besides the front door, it is pretty dark in there. Christmas lights are hung around the bar area and the lighting by the tables are dimmed. They also have a jukebox with a huge selection of songs, it costs about a dollar per song. They do have music playing even if no one uses the jukebox. It is usually soft rock or pop music. They also have televisions set up around the bar that plays either sports or news stations. If the music is not on sometimes they have the sound to the TV's on. There is a dart board but some tables are blocking it, if no one is sitting there you are able to just move the table out of the way. The bar is fully stocked and they have a good selection of beer. They have bud light and Budweiser on draft and the other selections are in bottles. The drinks and food are reasonably priced, not to expensive at all. There is no cover to get in so if you're looking for a cheap/low key night out, this is the place for you. This hole in the wall bar is actually a really awesome place to hang out in.
Keep It Classy
